Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Selvi Dr. J. Jayalalitha presents “Best Doctor Award for Service to Differently Abled” to Prof. Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar



In a glittering function, Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Selvi. Dr. J. Jayalalitha, presented the Best Doctor Award for Service to Differently Abled”, instituted by The Government of Tamil Nadu to Prof. Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar, MD, DM, D.Sc, FRCP, Chairman & Chief Gastroenterologist, MedIndia Hospitals, Chennai,

The award which was presented as part of the Independence Day Celebrations at Chennai on 15th August, 2012, included a Plaque and a Gold Medal (10 gm).

In this respect, copies of the Citation, Plaque and photos of Award presentation and Gold Medal have been enclosed herewith.

It is to be noted that, Dr. Chandrasekar has conducted more than 72 focused camps at Chennai, Thiruvannamalai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts benefitting more than 3200 differently abled persons, concentrating on Hepatitis B virus detection and for detection of deficiencies in iron, haemoglobin, lipids, vitamins, protein, calcium and their treatment.
