Dr.T.S.Chandrasekar: Chennai, Tamilnadu, India; Dr. Chandrasekar had a brilliant academic career. He was the Best Outgoing Student in his MBBS with 13 Gold Medals. He did his MD (Medicine) and DM (Gastroenterology) from the most prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Dr. Chandrasekar has been honoured with the most prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP – Glasgow). The award was conferred to him at Glasgow, UK on Wednesday, the 22nd July, 2009. Senior active life member of the Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India (SGEI) with more than 23 years of experience in the field of Interventional Gastroenterology & Therapeutic Endoscopy. Worked as Teaching Faculty - Assistant Professor, Department of Gastroenterology, Madras Medical College & Government General Hospital, Chennai. Dr. Chandrasekar has set up and organized the Department of Gastroenterology, Government Medical College & Hospital, Coimbatore. Functioned as President, Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India (SGEI), 2007-08 and also served as its Vice-President and Governing Council Member.
